Features
Built for the way cyclists actually ride.
Broadcast without touching your phone
RidePack keeps your mic live for the entire ride — no button to press, no gesture to make. Your hands stay on the bars. The moment you speak, the pack hears you. Music ducks automatically so your voice always cuts through.
Tap Mute any time to drop off the channel instantly. Tap again to rejoin. Everything else is automatic.
Step off the channel in one tap
Your mic is live by default so the pack always hears you. When you need a moment — taking a call, stopping at a café, or just riding quietly — tap Mute to drop off instantly. The group continues without interruption. Tap again to rejoin with no reconnect delay.
Your soundtrack stays — just quieter
When a rider broadcasts, your music automatically ducks to let the voice through. The moment the broadcast ends, your music comes back up — within about half a second. You never miss a word, and you never lose the ride vibe.
Works with Apple Music, Spotify, and any app that plays through iOS audio sessions.
Local when you're close. Cloud when you're not.
When riders are within roughly 100 meters of each other, voice travels over a direct Bluetooth and Wi-Fi mesh — zero relay latency, no server in the loop. When riders drift farther apart, cloud relay connects everyone through LiveKit's WebRTC infrastructure. Cloud relay requires a Pro subscription — each rider subscribes for themselves. Local connections are always included with the app. You'll see a badge next to each rider indicating which channel they're on.
Eyes on the road, wrist in the loop
The Apple Watch companion mirrors your entire ride in real time — group name, participant list, who's speaking, connection state. Mute yourself or leave the ride without touching your phone. Haptic taps land on your wrist the instant someone in the pack speaks.
The Watch app also works standalone. If your iPhone is stowed away and out of Bluetooth range, the Watch can join and participate in rides independently via cloud relay. Standalone mode requires a RidePack Pro subscription held by the Watch user. A cellular Apple Watch is required for standalone mode.
Feel the pack, even in noise
Riding near traffic? Wearing noise-canceling earbuds? Haptic feedback from both iPhone and Apple Watch means you always know when someone's talking — even when you can't hear a thing. Sound alerts (a soft chirp on incoming voice) can be toggled independently from haptics.
Nearby riders, automatic connection
RidePack uses location to detect cyclists near you and surfaces nearby groups. Join with one tap, or create a named ride for your group to find. The ride owner controls who joins — a single approval gets each new rider into the channel.
When the owner leaves, the ride automatically transfers to the next member. When everyone's gone, the ride ends cleanly.
Always visible, even when your phone is locked
On iPhone 14 and later, RidePack lives in the Dynamic Island for the entire ride. See the current speaker, member count, and your mute status without unlocking your phone. On the Lock Screen, a Live Activity widget keeps the same information at a glance.
Every ride logged to Apple Health
Enable workout tracking and RidePack automatically starts an outdoor cycling workout in Apple Health when you join a ride. Your activity rings get credit, your ride data is saved, and the Apple Watch Now Playing page appears automatically — so music controls are one swipe away on your wrist.
Local voice is always included
The app is $4.99. Local voice between nearby riders — using a direct Bluetooth and Wi-Fi mesh — is included forever. No subscription required for riders within range of each other.
Cloud relay is a Pro feature. When you spread out beyond local range, Pro keeps your voice connected through the cloud. Each rider subscribes for themselves — there's no group owner covering the cost for everyone. Apple Watch standalone mode also uses cloud relay and requires Pro on the Watch.
Cloud relay connects Pro subscribers to each other. If you drift out of range and you're subscribed but the rider you're separated from isn't, the app will prompt them to get closer or subscribe. As soon as you're back within local range, audio resumes automatically for everyone — no action needed.
RidePack Pro is $2.99/month (3-day free trial) or $19.99/year (1-week free trial). Pro supports Family Sharing — one subscription covers up to 6 family members. Manage or cancel anytime through your Apple ID. Pricing and features are subject to change.
